Ben Armstrong
Helpdesk Technician
Ben joined us in September 2021, and is a member of our helpdesk team responsible for handling incoming service requests and helping callers. He’s currently studying a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security at ECU and took up a helpdesk role here to help further his industry knowledge and experience.
Ben says: “A helpdesk position is invaluable when starting your IT career, as the wide range of experience you gain whilst working across such a wide variety of systems is unprecedented.”
In addition, Ben lends his time to a charitable cause: “I, alongside Jett Potter also volunteer at the Lions Computer Refurbishing project, a mission focused on reducing e-waste and providing people with access to computer hardware. We mainly focus on taking in old hardware from businesses, securely erasing and re-imaging the devices and exporting them to other countries where access to computers is limited. The primary goal is to reduce the massive amount of e-waste that is generated by countries as perfectly working hardware, is disposed of just because it is not “the latest and greatest”.
